| The United States is a strange place, and nothing in my mind exemplifies this more than the Michael Vick situation. Being a dog lover, I understand the severity of his atrocities, but I believe he has been vilified far worse than the situation requires. This incident has bankrupted the man, and he may never be forgiven for his actions. If there was a no tolerance standard by which we live, I would be okay with this, but there are people who have done far worse and gotten of for virtually nothing. In 2000, Ray Lewis probably killed two people, but eight years later, he's back to his old self doing what he does as though nothing ever happened. Michael Vick never harmed a single person and yet he's lost two years of his life and may never get the chance to earn back his dignity. I don't feel sympathetic for the guy but man, if there is one thing i've learned about living in the United States is that under no circumstance should you ever fuck with the well being of a dog. just don't do it!
